That’s hilarious, but sad at the same time… but I guess we gotta see where they’re coming from, right? For them its easier to just marry someone that is generally their type because the culture allows it to happen. I might be wrong, but it seems like everyone in our parent’s generation has roughly the same story of how they got the call from their parents saying its time for marriage and then it would just happen. But we also have to see how far they’ve come as well. From “this is the person you will marry” to “If she’s 75% okay, then go for it!” Pretty soon we’ll be able to make our own decisions. haha… Good blog.

Interesting. Sounds like my dad when he wants me to date someone of the same ethnicity. It’s all very sad and frustrating :(

I’m sorry you had a bad experience with U-Haul. I’ve had two such bad experiences and will never deal with U-Haul again.

The first was a year ago when I had a confirmed reservation for a one-way trailer rental to move some things from Chicago to Maryland. When I arrived, U-Haul had no equipment and said the closest place to get a trailer was about 75 miles away. We rented a storage unit and came home empty handed.

The second occurred this morning when I attempted to rent a car dolly for local use. I was told I couldn’t rent the dolly for local use, only one way. Next I was told they wouldn’t rent the dolly because my truck was too small. (My truck is equipped with a class IV hitch to pull my 3500 lb camper). Next, they said I could rent a truck from U-Haul to pull the dolly and the car, but it could only be a one way rental, not local. Needless to say, they didn’t want my business.

I called a couple of local rental places and I now have a car dolly to do my job. The place where I rented has taken care of several folks with similar complaints. In each case they have taken care of the customers needs.

No more U-Haul for me.

Man, you should’ve been in on the conversation Justin and I had last week. You would have probably kept it at a normal human length. We talked for nearly five and a half hours on (basically) a single topic. I think he wanted to stab me with a blunt knife.
